Remember Who You Are
Reclaiming the Elements of Magic
(Witchcraft for Therapists)
w/ Ravyn Stanfield, horizon greene & Cooper Stodden
An in person offering on Coast Salish Land (so-called Seattle)
January 24-25, 2026
To create meaningful rituals is a human birthright.
Some of us come from ancestral lineages who have always been, and remain, deeply connected to land and spirit. Others come from long-since broken lineages, thirsty (sometimes without noticing) for the myths and rituals from our own forgotten histories.
Each of us has Ancestors who were deeply connected to the land. Ancestors who knew the medicines, songs and stories of the bioregion, whose magics sang of belonging and connection, who knew the earth to be alive and who recognized and revered the sacred. We all come from a lineage of magic that we can reach for even now. Folk magic belonging to the people, to us. Not a belonging of ownership, but one of deep connection, of knowing that we belong to something much larger than our individual selves.
Therapists practice this magic of connection, contradicting wounds of rejection with the medicine of belonging. We sit as healers, offering the possibility of transformation, in relationship, but sometimes without the context or intact practices of ritual and community.
Elements of Magic is an introduction to the ancient tools and traditions of witchcraft and a core class in the Reclaiming tradition, offering both foundational and lifelong skills. Beginners are very welcome! This is magic that belongs to us. And in the magic of relationship, we belong to this. Here we will step into the river of time, becoming who we already are and have always been.
In this affinity offering of Witchcraft for Therapists, we will build relationship with the sacred elements of Air, Fire, Water, Earth and Spirit, reminding our hearts and bodies of magic we were born to make.
With the power of Air we speak with a witches authority.
With the power of Fire we raise energy for personal and collective liberation.
With the power of Water we heal and transform.
With the power of Earth we learn spellwork to mend cultural rifts and the wounds of colonization.
With the power of Spirit we remember ourselves in the web of all that is.
In this circle of therapists you will learn tools and cultural practices from the Reclaiming Tradition of Witchcraft. Invocation, spellwork, energy raising, trancework, somatics, song, ritual, consensus decision making, circle casting, engaging your will, opening your witches eye, and magical transformation are just some of the tools you will explore. We will speak directly to the parts of your soul that long to make magic in this time, reminding you how. We will build community in affinity because the work of liberation is not the work of one person and because we need each other. We will remember, together, that this is folk magic and that what is needed in this work is simply your body, heart, will and intention. You will leave this class believing in yourself and your magic.
Everyone can do the life-changing, world-renewing work of magic. You are not alone in longing for this. Your body remembers and in fact it is your birthright. Please join us.

Cooper Stodden, LMFT, RPT (they) – I am a queer animist witch, nature therapist, and song activist living on Coast Salish land in so-called South Seattle. This land has long been stewarded by the Duwamish, Stillaguamish, Muckleshoot, and Suquamish peoples. I acknowledge their sovereignty and their elders past and present. I also honor my own elders, teachers, ancestors, and other guides—seen and unseen—who support me in this work. I belong to the web of all that is. I honor the living earth, the waters, and all more-than-human kin where I live and practice. I participated in my first Reclaiming-style ritual 22 years ago, but didn’t find Reclaiming community until 7 years later when an internet search for “magic for social justice” led me to my first Elements of Magic class. My path is deeply shaped by that call to weave ritual with social justice. As a therapist and witch, I bring this liberatory, earth-honoring lens to my work with queer, trans, and neurodivergent clients, fostering deep connections with self, community, and the more-than-human world. At the heart of my craft is my reverence for the land and all life, including a deep sense of awe and wonder that infuses my spirituality and shapes the way I guide clients toward connection, healing, and transformation. https://villagewitchtherapy.com
